JJ grew up in the dreamy beach town of Santa Barbara, California. Her love of painting was passed down by her talented mom who encouraged her to capture the beautiful landscapes around her. She received her Bachelor's degree from Tufts University in a joint program with the Museum School of Fine Arts, Boston. She later earned a degree in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and worked at Martha Stewart as a senior designer. 

She loves painting the everyday sights around her as well as working with clients to bring illustration and painting projects to life.
